IT QA Tester / Automation, Systems Analyst
About The Role
As a member of the Glacier Solutions Development ("GSD") team, the Quality Assurance Specialist reports to the Quality Assurance Manager. The primary focus of this position is to test and perform quality assurance (QA) validation on business process solutions for assigned application(s) throughout the development lifecycle. This role will be responsible for testing workflow‑driven system processes such as Lending, Teller, New Accounts, Compliance, Fraud, and Core Banking interface solutions.
The QA Specialist will keep all relevant technical documentation up to date and participate in testing for new systems, releases, new features, enhancements, and break/fix solutions. On project and strategic efforts, the position works in cross‑functional teams to provide QA and testing support of new or current production systems, following industry‑standard waterfall and agile development life cycles. Keen attention to detail, passion for quality, accurate documentation, and repeatable processes are key.
The role also serves as a representative of the IT Department to all levels of the bank, requiring professionalism and diplomacy.
Position is a corporate role located in an available bank division across AZ, CO, , MT, NV, TX, UT, WA, or WY.
Location‑based compensation details: Entry rate $33.31+/hour (Kalispell, MT), Spokane WA $37.21–55.81, Wenatchee WA $37.72–56.59. Compensation varies by geography, experience, and education.
- Execute QA testing scripts, test plans, and defect management for software products and releases that impact business services.
- Create, maintain, and provide documentation on testing validation, bugs, and QA reviews.
- Develop and execute effective testing scenarios using tools or third‑party services.
- Uphold all SOPs, policies, procedures, and standards.
- Collect business and functional requirements and translate them into accurate, inclusive test cases.
- Provide judgment, advice, and best practices to senior management for informed decisions.
- Comply with all company policies, laws, and regulations (e.g., Bank Secrecy Act, Patriot Act, OFAC).
- Complete assigned online training courses and achieve passing scores by deadlines.
- Education (Required): Bachelor’s Degree in Information Systems, Information Technology or related field.
- Experience (Required): 3 years of professional tech work or equivalent banking industry experience.

Knowledge of Microsoft Windows, Office applications, and ability to coordinate with business users for testing, validation, and acceptance. - Preferred

Experience with nCino, Temenos, LMS, Salesforce, or other banking‑specific software; manual and automated testing; basic programming knowledge or understanding. - Licenses/Certifications: None specified; relevant certifications are a plus.
