PT Instructor - Information Technology, Cybersecurity, Cloud Computing, and Artificial Intelligence

The Blinn College District is searching for a PT Instructor - Information Technology, Cybersecurity, Cloud Computing, and Artificial Intelligence at multiple campus locations.

• Teach assigned courses following approved curriculum and course objectives.
• Prepare and deliver lectures, labs, and instructional materials in a clear and engaging manner.
• Assess student learning through assignments, exams, and projects; provide timely feedback.
• Maintain accurate records of student attendance and performance.
• Participate in departmental meetings and comply with institutional policies and accreditation requirements.
• Stay current with developments in IT, Cybersecurity, Cloud Computing, and AI technologies and integrate emerging trends into instruction.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Candidates must meet Blinn College faculty credentialing requirements for Workforce Education (WECM) courses:

• Master's degree with 18 graduate hours in Computer Science, Computer Information Systems, Information Technology, Computer-Based Information Systems, Electrical Engineering, or Artificial Intelligence (including AI in Business)
• Bachelor's degree in one of the above fields
• Associate degree in one of the above fields

AND

• Minimum of three years of non-teaching work experience in IT, Cybersecurity, Cloud Computing, or AI
• Industry-recognized certifications (e.g., CompTIA Security+, AWS Certified Solutions Architect, Microsoft Azure Administrator, Cisco CCNA, Certified Ethical Hacker, AI/ML certifications)

Strong technical expertise, communication, motivational skills, and ability to use educational technology.

• Teaching experience at the college or professional level
• Additional certifications in Cybersecurity, Cloud Computing, or Artificial Intelligence (including AI in Business applications)

Work Schedule:

Part-time; flexible hours based on course schedule and availability. Evening or weekend classes may be required.
