About The Role
Summary
As a member of the Glacier Solutions Development ("GSD") team, the Quality Assurance Specialist reports to the Quality Assurance Manager. The primary focus is to test and perform QA validation on business process solutions for assigned application(s) throughout the development lifecycle. This role will be responsible for testing workflow‑driven system processes provided by the bank, such as Lending, Teller, New Accounts, Compliance, Fraud, and Core Banking interface solutions.
The QA Specialist will keep all relevant technical documentation up to date as assigned. They will participate in testing new systems, releases, new features, enhancements, and break/fix solutions. On project and strategic efforts, this position will work in cross‑functional teams to provide QA and testing support of new or current production systems. It will follow industry standard waterfall and agile development/project delivery life cycles.
Keen attention to detail, passion for quality, accurate documentation, and embraces repeatable processes will be key to success. Adherence to structured software change and release management processes and procedures is required. The position represents the IT Department to all bank groups and management; professionalism and diplomacy to gain trust are critical.
This is a corporate position that may be located in an available bank division across our nine‑state footprint in AZ, CO, , MT, NV, TX, UT, WA, or WY. to learn more about our bank divisions.
CompensationThe entry rate for this position is $33.31+/hour (calculated for Kalispell, MT). All compensation offers are analyzed individually and take into consideration multiple factors including but not limited to geographic location, years of experience, and educational background.
WA Applicants OnlySpokane, WA: $37.21–$55.81/hour. Wenatchee, WA: $37.72–$56.59/hour.
Duties and Responsibilities- Execute quality assurance testing scripts, test plans, and defect management for software products and releases that impact the organization’s business services and operations.
- Create, maintain, and provide all necessary documentation on testing validation, bugs, and QA reviews.
- Uphold all SOPs as outlined in policy, procedures, and standards.
- Analyze and occasionally collect business and functional requirements from all levels of the organization, then translate that knowledge into accurate and inclusive test cases.
- Provide judgment, advice, recommendations, and best practices on systems to help senior management make informed decisions that affect peers and employees at all levels.
- Comply with all company policies and procedures and all applicable laws and regulations, including the Bank Secrecy Act, Patriot Act, and OFAC. Complete assigned online training courses and achieve a passing score by the due date.

Education- Required:
Bachelor’s Degree in Information Systems, Information Technology, or related field.
- Required:
Minimum 3 years professional work experience in technology or equivalent banking industry experience. - Required:
3–5 years of hands‑on quality assurance software testing experience or equivalent bank lending or operations experience. - Required:
Knowledge of Microsoft Windows operating system and Office applications. - Required:
Ability to coordinate with business user groups in testing, validation, and evaluation of new applications and functions. - Preferred:
Experience with nCino, Temenos, LMS, Salesforce, or other banking‑specific software. Manual and automated testing experience. Basic programming knowledge or understanding.
