• Beds: 30 beds + 2 trauma bays (Bryan), 24 acute (College Station)

• Fast Track:
Yes (“Vertical Care”)

• Triage:
Separate area; travelers may be placed in triage after skills assessment

• ER Holds:
Intermixed within ER

• Psych Rooms:
None (intermixed)

• Security: 24/7; off-duty officer in ER

• Daily Census: ~135 patients/day

• General Acute: 1:3–4

• Trauma Level I: 1:1 or 2:1 depending on acuity

• TNK: 1:1 for first hour

• Vertical Care: 1:6–8

• N/V, chest pain, fever

• Peds: URIs (10–15% pediatric patients)

• Geriatric: AMS

• Trauma: ground-level falls, MVAs, ATV accidents, assaults (GSW, stabbings)

• High trauma volume; serves 9 counties

• Chest tubes, rapid transfusions, intubations
