Overview

Retail Assistant Store Manager to join our Team!

Pay rate: $13.50 to $19.00 per hour. We offer a commission structure that pays you for every transaction processed. Our retail sales associates can earn up to 8% on transactions, which could average an additional $3.11 per hour on top of your hourly rate.

Position Summary

We are seeking an Assistant Store Manager with a minimum of six months of management/3rd key experience. Assistant Store Managers are accountable for day-to-day store operations and promoting a positive/productive environment. This role partners with the Store Manager to lead and develop store employees, recruit and retain top talent, maximize financial goals, and manage customer relations/satisfaction. The position sets the tone for a customer-centric environment.

Additionally, this role analyzes store financial statements alongside the Store Manager to ensure financial goals are met. You will be required to commit to the company’s asset protection program, promote our business, and target new customer acquisitions. Employees will work with a variety of jewelry and general merchandise, including tools, electronics, firearms (in FFL locations) and more.

This position offers an hourly wage plus commission based on productivity and a bonus based on store performance. The actual pay of successful Assistant Store Managers will depend on factors such as location, qualifications, and experience.

Responsibilities of an Assistant Store Manager

This is a representative list of general duties and is not all-inclusive; other duties may be assigned as needed.

  • Facilitate a customer-centric environment by engaging customers professionally and addressing issues promptly.
  • Monitor and assist in the training of Pawnbrokers to meet First Cash standards.
  • Recruit top talent by sourcing candidates through prescribed channels.
  • Open and close the store, including cash and merchandise handling, ensuring procedures protect assets.
  • Ensure asset protection through inventory control, safety procedures, documentation, and securing loans.
  • Administer store processes, including inventory, loan management, merchandising, store presentation, systems, and reporting.
  • Evaluate financial statements and drive profitability through communication and goal setting.
  • Ensure operating standards meet or exceed First Cash standards.
  • Monitor loan qualification and buying processes to maintain value and integrity of loans.
  • Complete assigned tasks and self-development training as requested.
  • Communicate clearly with employees to align with the store’s mission and profit objectives.
  • Remain up-to-date on product knowledge.
  • Act as manager on duty in the absence of the Store Manager.
  • Other related duties as assigned.
Minimum Requirements & Qualifications
  • Must be willing and able to perform duties for extended periods (standing, stooping, walking, climbing, pushing, pulling, lifting).
  • Must be willing and able to lift/carry up to 50 pounds.
