Position OverviewJoining us as an Associate Team Leader
, you’ll support a single retail office during tax season, consistently exceeding client expectations and providing daily operations direction. You’ll begin on a flexible part‑time schedule in late fall and transition to full‑time from January through April.
- Serve as the onsite point of contact for tax office associates and clients, ensuring quality and consistent execution to promote H&R Block’s value.
- Hold all tax office associates accountable to the client service experience, escalating to the Multi‑Unit Team Leader and District General Manager as necessary.
- Manage escalated client service concerns on site.
- Ensure clients are scheduled appropriately and conflicts are resolved, escalating to management as needed.
- Lead the office from the front desk, covering phone lines and engaging with clients to deliver an outstanding experience.
- Oversee daily activities to ensure all associates are scheduled and work is completed on time, maintaining quality standards and prioritizing overall goals.
- Conduct daily huddles and communicate essential information to office associates.
- Experience supervising or managing people.
- History of delivering outstanding customer experiences.
- Prior experience in customer service or a similar role.
- Strong organizational skills and ability to plan and manage day‑to‑day office operations.
- Customer‑centric mindset and strong communication skills.
- Computer proficiency, including MS Office.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Flexible work schedule of up to 40 hours per week, adaptable to business needs.
- High school diploma or equivalent (or higher).
