ARRT Radiology / Limited License X-Ray Technologist at Baptist Health Urgent Care
Baptist Health Urgent Care is looking for experienced ARRT Radiology or Limited License X‑Ray Technologists to join our team in Bryant, AR. The role involves performing x‑ray testing, operating diagnostic equipment, developing film, preparing radiology rooms, and performing Medical Assistant duties.
Key Responsibilities- Promptly greets patients when entering waiting area, exam room, and laboratory or X‑ray room.
- Consistently communicates with patients on wait times and provides direction to the next step in the treatment process.
- Provides solutions to patient problems and seeks help in emergent/hazardous situations.
- Executes follow‑up calls with a sense of urgency.
- Assists front desk personnel with patient check‑in/out procedures when necessary.
- Obtains and accurately documents patient vital signs and weight; takes brief history, past medical, family, social history, current medications, allergies, and other pertinent historical information as appropriate.
- Assists with patient transfers and procedures directly supervised by the provider.
- Follows documentation procedures and completes required documentation related to the patient visit.
- Performs timely radiology procedures for subsequent evaluation and treatment by attending physician.
- Performs necessary quality control procedures to ensure quality exams.
- Prepares patients for radiologic procedures and follows established clinical and regulatory procedures regarding patient safety and care, including proper radiation protection and shielding techniques.
- Ensures that equipment is in proper working order and reports any malfunctions to the Manager or provider on duty.
- Assumes responsibility for maintaining and improving diagnostic imaging knowledge and skills with the support of outside educational resources.
- Maintains current licensure and certification for facility radiology equipment and licensure.
Full‑time: rotating 36‑40 hour/week schedule, 12‑hour weekday shifts and every‑other weekend. PRN: scheduled on an as‑needed basis.
Requirements- High school diploma or equivalent
- BLS Certification
- AR State X‑Ray License
- ARRT Certification preferred
- Experience as a Medical Assistant preferred
