✨ Join a group of passionate advocates on our mission to improve the lives of youth! The Rite of Passage Team is hiring for a Volunteer Coordinator at The Arkansas Juvenile Assessment and Treatment Center (AJATC) in Bryant, Arkansas ✨
AJATC is a secure residential program for at-risk male and female youth, located on 110 acres just outside of Little Rock, AR. Through our trained programming for staff, AJATC promotes a normalized high school experience, offers a safe environment and provides opportunities for positive change, as well as providing the unlimited potential for achievement and growth for students and staff. Our campus features residential student dormitories, on-site school and library, vocational training program, chapel, gymnasium, medical and an outdoor recreation area.

The Volunteer Coordinator is responsible for providing positive mentoring for the students through special classes, studies, and groups while enlisting the assistance of community volunteers. This position will recruit volunteers, ensures files are complete prior to working on site, and will provide current volunteer rosters to the Control Desk. The Volunteer Coordinator will also facilitate and organize training classes for all volunteers, as well as being the liaison between the facility and volunteers.
Qualifications- High School diploma or equivalent
- At least 21 years of age
- Ability to pass a criminal background check, drug, physical, and TB test
- Ability to pass a search of the child and adult abuse central registry
- Must meet the requirements to become an ROP eligible driver, including having a valid Driver's License
Part Time Only; must be available Saturdays from 2:30 PM to 4:30 PM and Sundays from 3:00 PM to 6:00 PM
