What you will move in this role:
  • Take ownership of power conversion features end-to-end, from customer requirements through architecture, implementation alignment, and final system verification.
  • Design and define control functions, modulation concepts, fault reactions, and system behavior for high-power electronic converters.
  • Collaborate closely with hardware, software, FPGA, and test engineers to ensure seamless integration and consistent feature development.
  • Create and maintain system requirements, functional architectures, interface definitions, and behavioral models using modern engineering methods and tools.
  • Drive simulation, testing, and validation activities, taking features from virtual models into real-world verification in the high-voltage laboratory.
  • Ensure traceability, documentation quality, and compliance with automotive development processes such as ASPICE and functional safety standards.
  • Represent the system perspective towards internal stakeholders and customers, helping to resolve technical challenges and align cross-functional teams.
What skills and experience you should bring:
  • Degree in Systems Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical discipline.
  • Several years of experience in embedded systems development, ideally in system engineering, software, FPGA, hardware development, or power electronics applications.
  • Good understanding of power electronics, control systems, modulation methods, and the interaction between hardware and software in real-time systems.
  • Experience with MATLAB/Simulink, Stateflow, or similar modeling tools; knowledge of SysML or System Composer is an advantage.
  • Solid understanding of embedded software concepts, including C programming, communication protocols (e.g., CAN), and real-time system behavior.
  • Familiarity with requirements engineering, system architecture development, verification and validation, and automotive development processes such as ASPICE and ISO 26262.
  • Strong communication and coordination skills, combined with the ability to take ownership, drive technical topics independently, and work effectively across multidisciplinary teams.
