School Counselor / Licensed Professional Counselor
Light Street Special Education Solutions is now hiring a part‑time School Counselor (LPC Preferred) for a January 2026 start. You will support the academic, social, and emotional well‑being of students while implementing comprehensive counseling programs.
Compensation & Benefits:
- Competitive hourly W2 rate (DOE), direct & indirect compensation, guaranteed hours

About Light Street Special Education Solutions: A division of LEARN Academy, we help schools succeed by providing evidence‑based special education services and flexible solutions for students with special needs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct individual and group counseling to address academic, career, and personal/social development.
- Develop and implement comprehensive counseling programs aligned with student needs and school goals.
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and administrators to support student success and well‑being.
- Assist students in developing academic plans and setting realistic goals for future education and careers.
- Provide crisis intervention for students experiencing emotional or behavioral challenges.
- Facilitate workshops and lessons on bullying prevention, conflict resolution, social‑emotional skills, and college readiness.
- Advocate for students at IEP meetings and other student‑focused discussions.
- Refer families and students to external mental health resources when needed.
- Maintain accurate records of counseling sessions and student progress.
- Stay current with best practices in school counseling through ongoing professional development.
Qualifications:
- Master's degree in school counseling from an accredited program.
- State license/certification (must be maintained).
- School experience preferred.
- Current AZ IVP Fingerprint card.
