EDUCATIONAL TEACHER (CORRECTIONAL EDUCATION PROGRAM TEACHER)
Job Location: Education Programs and Community Reentry Division, Arizona State Prison Complex (ASPC) Lewis, 26700 South Highway 85, Buckeye, AZ 85326
Salary: $54,003.00 - $91,670.00
Grade: 1

Job Duties:- Develops, implements, and services education lesson plans
- Collaborates with classroom and Special Education teachers
- Makes assessments, tracks progress, and maintains educational records
- Develops and corrects diagnostic tests
- Uses effective classroom management techniques
- Provides evaluations and consults with qualified teachers
- Supervises inmates and educational staff
- Drives on State business
- Performs other duties as assigned
Knowledge of laws, regulations, instructional methodologies, testing procedures, and computer software. Skills in communication, teaching, organization, typing, and time management. Ability to lift/carry and push/pull 20 lbs., work in a prison environment, work various shifts, provide instruction and counseling, work cooperatively, and adhere to departmental policies.
Preferred Qualifications:- Highly qualified in Science, English, P.E., Social Studies, Language Arts, or Math
- Structured English Immersion endorsement
- Arizona Department of Education certified Special Education teacher
- Bachelor's degree or higher
- Arizona Teaching Certificate
- Fingerprint Card
- Background check, drug test, medical exam
- Valid driver's license if applicable
