Job Description:
As a Journeyman Electrician at IPS, you’ll work closely with the site foreman to execute top-quality installations that meet current electrical codes. We’re looking for someone who works quickly and efficiently while maintaining safety standards 100% of the time. The ideal candidate is growth-oriented, can read blueprints, and is skilled in terminating service sections, distribution centers, panel boards, transformers, and disconnecting motor controls.

Qualifications & Requirements:

• 6 to 10 years of experience in the electrical trade
• Proficient in installing PVC, RIGID, FLEX, GRC
• Capable of making multiple circuits with multiple ground conductors
• Skilled in termination
• Experience working with a minimum of two apprentices
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints
• Proficient with hydraulic benders
• Must be able to bend lift twist up to 80 pounds repeatedly throughout the day
• Must be able to work on your feet for 8 to 12 hours a day safely

What You’ll Do: Key responsibilities include

• Installing and terminating service sections, distribution centers, panel boards, transformers, and motor controls
• Reading and interpreting blueprints for accurate installations
• Installing PVC, RIGID, FLEX, and GRC conduits
• Performing multiple circuit installations with ground conductors
• Supervising and mentoring apprentices
• Using hydraulic benders and adhering to safety standards 100% of the time
