Job Purpose
The Installation Technician is responsible for the successful installation of equipment in an efficient and consistent manner, while working with a team to achieve timely project completion.

- Install operating room lights, equipment booms, cabinetry, and related structures
- Pull, install, and cable (CAT5/6) medical gas lines and other cabling
- Provide client reports validating test results and work performed
- Learn client‑specific systems to enable full integration
- Install and mount video monitors
- Proficient in cable management
- Basic general contracting skills
- Travel overnight 80% or more of the time
- Knowledge of electrical and low‑voltage systems
- Read plans and follow specifications for installation
- Assess scope changes and request change orders when needed
- Use tools such as a level, wrench, reciprocating saw, portable hand saw, or hammer drill
- Work evenings and weekends to meet project milestones (nationwide)
- Work in crouched or kneeling positions and confined spaces
- Preferred certifications such as OSHA 10
- Lift 70+ pounds
- Stay on task without supervision
- Transition to subsequent tasks with good communication and minimal supervision
- Listen well and adhere to PM direction
- Speak up to ensure proper understanding
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, especially with clients and in professional contexts
- Communicate effectively using appropriate tools and techniques
- Able to prioritize while solving problems following client and KHI goals
- Assess problem situations, gather info, generate solutions, and make recommendations or resolve the issue
- Work professionally with KHI PMs and leadership
- Maintain a friendly manner with clients
- Treat facility workers and patients with respect
- Maintain personal habits to be ready to work on time
- Handle personal issues to avoid interference with work hours
- Be prepared to complete jobs with no rework and minimal non‑productive time
- Complete jobs in proper sequence
- Adhere to OSHA and KHI standards without fail
- Help others adhere to OSHA and KHI standards
- Stop jobs before they become unsafe instead of waiting until the last second
- Pay: $18 – $23 per hour, starting based on experience
