Junior Elixir Developer

Tiltify  builds interactive fundraising tools that power the next generation of charitable giving. As a Junior Elixir Developer, you’ll work on highly concurrent, performance-oriented systems that support real-time campaigns, donor experiences, and community-driven fundraising.

You’ll join our Applications team and learn by shipping: writing code, testing it well, and improving it over time with a team that cares about craft, reliability, and speed. We value shipping, testing, and learning over perfect resumes.

• Build and maintain backend services using Elixir (and Phoenix where applicable)
• Write tests and contribute to a TDD / testing-first culture
• Help integrate and maintain APIs and third-party services
• Collaborate with product and engineering to deliver features safely and iteratively
• Participate in code reviews and learn our patterns for scalability, observability, and performance

• Some experience with Elixir or a strong foundation in another backend language (Ruby, JS/TS, Python, etc.) and eagerness to learn Elixir
• Familiarity with web concepts: APIs, HTTP, auth, background jobs, databases
• Comfortable writing tests (or strong interest in learning a test-driven approach)
• Curiosity, humility, and a bias toward learning-by-building
• Interest in creator, gaming, or online communities (nice to have, not required)
• Familiarity with cloud infrastructure
• Docker / containers
• Integrating third-party services and handling webhooks

• Starting salary (typical range): $80,000–$110,000 base (US; varies by location and experience)
