Overview
The Department of Emergency Medicine at West Virginia University (WVU), St. Joseph's Hospital in Buckhannon, WV, is seeking academic Emergency Medicine physicians at the rank of Assistant Professor, Associate Professor, or Professor. Qualified candidates may be considered for a Medical Director/Division Chief opportunity for St. Joseph's Hospital.

Responsibilities- Provide academic Emergency Medicine clinical care across affiliated sites (e.g., WVU Hospitals/Ruby Memorial Hospital, United Hospital Center, St. Joseph's Hospital, WVU Urgent Care centers, Student Health, and related facilities).
- Engage in medical student and resident education, including oversight of teaching activities and mentorship within a growing EM residency program and an ultrasound fellowship program.
- Collaborate with faculty, fellows, residents, and advanced practice providers to deliver high-quality patient care.
- Contribute to scholarly activities and participate in departmental initiatives as appropriate to rank and credentials.
- MD or DO degree (or foreign equivalent) and eligibility for an unrestricted West Virginia medical license.
- Completed an accredited Emergency Medicine residency program and board-certified or board-eligible in Emergency Medicine.
- Rank and salary commensurate with credentials and experience.
