Job Objective: Under the direction of a Board-Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA), the Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) provides clinical skills instruction and behavior reduction protocols based upon the principles of Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) to patients of Community Care of West Virginia, Inc.

Responsibilities and Essential Duties
  • Provides direct client care in one-on-one and group settings.
  • Follows behavior protocols.
  • Collects and records data based on client behavior.
  • Communicates with supervisors, clients, and other stakeholders regarding client progress.
  • Assists behavior analysts and assistant behavior analysts with behavior.
  • Assists behavior analysts and assistant behavior analysts in the preparation of client materials.
  • Assists behavior analysts and assistant behavior analysis with training caregivers, school staff, and other stakeholders.
  • Other Projects and duties as assigned.
  • Possess the flexibility to work extended hours or an irregular schedule, when needed.
  • Assists in writing clinical policies and/or procedures.
  • Possess effective organizational, time management skills, and computer/technical skills.
  • Willingly participates in applicable committees or task forces, demonstrates ability to identify and resolve complex or out of policy operation problems.
  • Supports the Mission, Values and Vision of Community Care of West Virginia (CCWV) and the facility.

  • Record/report the need for service maintenance or repair of equipment and remove any faulty equipment from service.
  • Consistently evaluate work and determine if further steps are needed to meet patient expectations.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory standards.

  • Consistently demonstrate the ability to respond to changing situations in a flexible manner in order to meet current needs, such as reprioritizing work as necessary.
