Lineman

Micrologic is looking for an enthusiastic quality driven and forward-thinking individual to fill the Lineman position. You will support overhead construction and repair fiber service. You will develop new skills, work in a safety-minded environment, and join Micrologic in expanding technology for a better community.

• Climb poles and/or use a bucket truck to perform installation, relocation, maintenance of aerial plants.
• Perform aerial tasks, such as new cable installs, pole transfers, strand building, cable hanging, and lashing.
• Ability to safely use gaffs and ladders.
• Comfortable working in a bucket truck and climbing poles.
• Utilize standard telecommunication tools.
• Ability to read and understand schematics and construction prints.
• Ability to figure out and troubleshoot problems in the field as they arise.
• Have a track record of completing work with a high level of quality.
• Work with Construction Manager or other leadership to achieve goals and construction efforts.
• Perform other related duties as necessary or assigned.
• Work safely at all times.
• Experienced Lineman with extensive knowledge of all equipment needed for aerial work.

• Must have at least 2 years of aerial fiber construction experience, including the installation of poles and wire/cable replacement.
• Understand separation and clearance regulations.
• Have a valid driver’s license, Class A CDL preferred.
• Must have knowledge in fiber optic construction prints and designs.
• Ability to communicate professionally with coworkers, customers, general public, and leadership.
• Must be able to work in all weather conditions.
• Must be able to carry 75-80 lbs., to include an extension ladder.
• Must be able to work at heights of 20+ feet.
• Must have climber/rescuer certification.
