Location: United Kingdom – Moray, Buckie (Office/Site only)
A Snapshot of Your DayAs a Health and Safety Specialist, you will support our offshore wind farm Service operations teams in Buckie, ensuring appropriate health, safety and environmental arrangements are in place.
This role involves collecting and reporting observations of near‑misses, accidents, incidents and deviations from agreed standards, reporting through the agreed communication channels. You will ensure all incidents are investigated, corrective actions allocated and the incident workflow managed through to closure, in accordance with Siemens Gamesa procedures and local legal requirements.
How You'll Make an Impact- Engage in and promote the “Zero Harm” EHS Culture
- Support local engagement and alignment to the overall EHS strategic objectives
- Implement the company’s health, safety & environmental management systems effectively
- Proactively monitor, identify hazards and facilitate implementation of effective control measures
- Partner with operations management and employees to provide advice on legislation, standards and local expectations/guidelines
- Communicate and collaborate with other EHS team members across the business to share learning and develop best practices
- Develop and deliver EHS inductions and training
- Assist in the completion and review of risk assessments
- Record, report and investigate all accidents, incidents and near‑misses in accordance with procedures, and ensure corrective actions are identified and monitored
- Compile, analyze and act on EHS statistics and KPI’s and share results locally
- Maintain all relevant health, safety and environmental records
- Undertake reasonable activities that assist the business and fulfil EHS‑related objectives
- Promote lesson learned and knowledge sharing across sites in the region
- Passion for renewable energy and a sense of the importance of leading change
- NEBOSH or equivalent level 5 / 6 EHS qualification, or willingness to obtain it within a reasonable timeframe
- Previous EHS experience in an operational/engineering environment, ideally within a power service or heavily regulated industry
- Demonstrable experience providing pragmatic EHS guidance and problem‑solving
- Experience working in a demanding, high-performance, team‑oriented environment
- Experience dealing with regulatory bodies
- Ability to take control of situations and manage unplanned events
- Ability to develop and maintain effective relationships, managing expectations with internal and external stakeholders
- Computer literate with mainstream software packages
- Full UK/EU driving licence
- Willingness to travel
