Overview
Be among the first 25 applicants. We're now on the look out for our new future stars, so if you would love a new part-time job for 2026 that will bring satisfaction like no other, look no further as we have some great opportunities to join our fantastic #Team Highland in Buckie as Support Practitioners on a part-time (20 hours per week, permanent) basis.
The great thing about this job is no two days are ever the same. You'll become part of a friendly, dedicated team who supports five individuals with various support needs to live in their own homes. Their homes are all situated in the same housing support complex, so there will be no travel needed while on shift. The support youll provide is centred around assisting individuals to identify and work towards their goals.
Youll work with the individuals to develop personal plans that reflect their choices, individual support needs and capabilities.
You'll assist individuals to manage their own homes, increase and maintain their independence and encourage and support them with personal care and their social, health and wellbeing needs. The people we support all have different hobbies and interests, so we’ll need you to bring creativity and enthusiasm into supporting them to access leisure activities, engage in meaningful activities and take part in hobbies and interests that are important to them, both within their home and out in their local communities.
Being a Support Practitioner is more than just a job; there’s no better feeling going home after every shift knowing that youve made a positive difference in someone’s life.
You don’t need experience in care or qualifications to start your career with us. We are more interested in who you are as a person. We’ll invest in you by providing paid training and we’ll even fund your SVQ (SCQF level 6/7) qualification and yearly SSSC registration fees too.
All we’ll need you to bring is:
- Great communication skills
- A positive attitude with a solution focussed approach
- Good team working skills
- The ability to work on your own initiative
- A willingness to learn and use new systems and technology
- The ability to apply good administrative and numeracy skills to ensure that clear, accurate records are evidenced and kept up to date
- An understanding of the importance of keeping to routines and guidelines
Shift Patterns
We’re dedicated to providing the best 24/7 support, so shift patterns will involve early mornings, days and evenings. Weekends, public holidays and sleepovers will also form part of your rota on a rotational basis. You may also be required to work a waking night very occasionally if cover was needed.
