Green mill Production Operative

Full-time / Permanent

Due to continued growth, we have an opportunity to join our existing team as a Production Operator.

Working in our Dalbeattie Sawmill you will be contributing towards the creation of quality timber products – on time and to

specification.

Specifically, some responsibilities of a Production Operator may include:

• Manual handling of timber.
• Operating state of the art saw milling machinery.
• Operation of Mobile Plant Vehicles.
• Working towards set production targets.
• Upholding the appropriate Health & Safety practices.

No experience is necessary as full training will be provided however you will need to be motivated, hardworking and quality

focused. A degree of flexibility will be required to ensure operations are maximised, maintained and quality targets are met with

minimum wastage. In addition, you will have:

• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Good organisational skills and attention to detail.
• An appreciation of quality and Health & Safety.
• Willingness to undertake all relevant training required to fulfil the role.
• Experience with in a manufacturing, or similar production environment, would be advantageous, but not essential.
• Ideally, successful candidates will hold a Full Drivers Licence, however this is not essential.
