Manager - Chartered Accountants

Butler Rose are delighted to be working with a small, friendly and well-respected firm of Chartered Accountants based in the heart of Buckingham, who are now seeking an experienced Manager to join their team. This is a fantastic opportunity for an ACA or ACCA qualified individual with prior managerial experience to take on a varied role in a supportive and professional environment.

Alongside working in a close-knit and highly regarded firm, the business offers a unique flexible benefit: staff may choose to take a 30-minute lunch break instead of 1 hour
, which accumulates into 14 additional holiday days off (Fridays or Mondays) per year
. These days are subject to business needs and cannot be taken during December or January.

• Allocate workflow across the team
• Supervise, mentor and review trainee performance
• Review accounts and tax return work prepared by other staff
• Meet new clients and manage existing client relationships
• Undertake trainee reviews and provide ongoing development support
• Prepare accounts and tax returns for Limited Companies, Sole Traders and Partnerships
• Prepare Personal Tax Returns
• Assist with audits and ad hoc managerial duties as required

• ACA or ACCA qualified
• Previous experience in a managerial role within practice
• Proficiency with Outlook, IRIS, MS Office, Sage and cloud bookkeeping systems
• Excellent time management and organisational skills
• Strong attention to detail and problem-solving ability
• Effective communication skills and a proactive, professional approach
