Accountancy Practice recruitment specialists Clark Wood are currently working with a highly progressive and respected firm of accountants which, as a result of continued growth, is looking to add an Accounts Semi Senior or Semi Senior Accountant to the team in their Buckingham office.
The successful person will undertake a varied position with duties that include the preparation of year‑end accounts and associated tax compliance for a diverse range of clients as well as completion of bookkeeping and VAT work where necessary. Working as an Accounts Semi Senior in a dynamic team, you will gain exposure to a broad range of clients from various industry sectors and work closely with senior staff, offering excellent scope for development.
Ideal candidates may be AAT Qualified (or nearly qualified), or may have begun their ACA/ACCA studies and will have experience of undertaking a varied role within practice. Study support will be provided to help you complete your studies.
Responsibilities- Prepare accounts for limited companies, partnerships, and sole traders.
- Prepare statutory and management accounts.
- Prepare corporation tax computations and CT600 returns.
- Monthly bookkeeping, management accounting and VAT return preparation.
- Perform balance sheet reconciliations.
- Produce profit and loss statements.
- Handle personal tax work, including self‑assessment compliance.
- AAT Qualified (or part qualified) or ACCA/ACA students.
- Experience working in practice is essential.
- Strong organisational and communication skills.
- Desire for professional development and study support.
