Night Hygiene Team Leader

As our Hygiene Team Leader, you’ll play a critical role in maintaining the highest standards of cleanliness, safety, and compliance across our production site. You’ll lead a small team of Hygiene Operatives, ensuring that all cleaning tasks, from daily routines to deep cleans, are completed thoroughly, safely, and on time.

You’ll be responsible for distributing tasks, coaching your team, and ensuring that cleaning procedures meet food safety and allergen control standards. You’ll also manage investigations into hygiene-related non‑conformances, support audits (including BRC), and collaborate with Quality, Engineering, and R&D teams to maintain a safe and efficient environment.

As the most senior person on the night shift, you’ll represent Puratos professionally in any emergency or external liaison and provide clear handovers to the Production team to ensure seamless operations.

• Lead and Develop Your Team– Supervise, coach, and support Hygiene Operatives to deliver high standards and continuous improvement.
• Ensure Compliance and Safety– Maintain rigorous hygiene standards, SOPs, and allergen controls, ensuring a safe and compliant environment.
• Own the Cleaning Schedule– Distribute tasks, monitor completion, and ensure all cleaning is thorough, timely, and traceable.
• Champion Food Safety– Train your team to understand contamination risks and uphold food safety protocols.
• Investigate and Resolve Issues– Lead investigations into non‑conformances and take proactive steps to prevent recurrence.
• Collaborate Across Teams– Work closely with Production, Quality, Engineering, and R&D to support operations and audits.
• Represent Puratos Professionally– Act as the senior contact on night shift, liaising with external parties when needed.
