Learning Support Assistant – Fixed Term for one academic year.
Required to start September 2026 (subject to pre‑employment checks).
08:30 a.m. to 03:30 p.m. Monday to Friday, including midday meals supervision.
Term time only.
Grade 4 Point 5‑6: £24 790 – £25 183 pro rata per annum.
Are you looking to join a school with a family feel and a dedicated, enthusiastic team? Buckingham Park Primary is looking for an experienced and enthusiastic Learning Support Assistant to join the team where learning together and learning for life are integral to our ethos.
We are looking for someone who:- Has a patient and encouraging approach
- Has a passion for supporting teaching and learning
- Has high expectations of achievement and behaviour
- Is enthusiastic with a caring attitude
- Is keen to work as part of a team, is very flexible and has experience of working with primary‑school‑age children
- Is prepared to attend to pupils’ personal needs including First Aid matters
- Is discreet and able to maintain confidentiality
- Is prepared to carry out lunchtime supervision when children play and eat their lunch
- Is prepared to support children with special educational needs in small groups and/or in 1:1 situations
Candidates should ideally have a qualification for Teaching/Support Assistant and possess GCSE/’O’ Level in Mathematics and English, as well as being able to relate well to children. First Aid training would be desirable but not essential as training may be given.

The post is a temporary position initially for up to July 2027 with a possibility to extend.
