Senior Trade Officer

Copello have partnered with an established Defence Engineering business in the recruitment of a Senior Trade Compliance Officer.

Working closely with the Trade Compliance Manager, you will help ensure regulatory obligations are met while enabling business operations to run efficiently.

Key responsibilities include:

* Managing UK export licence applications and maintaining accurate compliance records

* Liaising with relevant authorities on trade compliance matters

* Monitoring changes in export control and sanctions regulations

* Supporting internal training, audits, and policy adherence

* Providing guidance to internal teams on trade compliance requirements

* Assisting with international export authorisations and approvals

About you:

* Strong working knowledge of UK export controls and customs requirements

* Good awareness of international regulations such as ITAR/EAR

* Highly organised with excellent attention to detail

* Comfortable working in a fast-paced, stakeholder-facing environment

* Experience in defence, aerospace, or regulated industries is advantageous
