Effective HR technology is essential to supporting this varied workforce. As HR Systems Analyst, you will ensure that our HR, payroll and recruitment systems are reliable, effective and easy to use, helping employees, managers and HR colleagues access the services and information they need.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage the day-to-day operation of our HR, payroll and recruitment systems, ensuring they remain reliable, secure and responsive to organisational needs.
  • Act as the subject matter expert and lead super user, resolving complex queries and working with suppliers and Digital Services to address technical issues and maintain system performance.
  • Lead the technical delivery of system enhancements, upgrades and releases, including requirements gathering, testing, implementation and user adoption.
  • Improve processes and the user experience by identifying opportunities to expand self-service, make better use of existing functionality and introduce appropriate automation.
  • Protect the quality, integrity and security of employee data through effective controls, regular audits and compliance with GDPR, organisational policies and data governance standards.
  • Develop reports, dashboards and workforce insights that help stakeholders understand people trends and make well-informed decisions.
  • Build confidence and capability among system users by producing clear guidance, maintaining system documentation and delivering training.
  • Help shape future HR technology, supporting system procurement and implementation, data preparation, integrations, testing and transition to business as usual.
About you

Essential Criteria
  • Experience administering, configuring and supporting HR Systems, such as core HR payroll or recruitment platforms.
  • Strong reporting and analytical skills, with experience turning data into clear, accurate and meaningful management information.
  • Experience delivering system improvements, upgrades or implementation activities, including requirements gathering, testing and troubleshooting.
  • Strong systems and process analysis skills, with the ability to understand user needs, diagnose issues and implement practical solutions.
  • Experience producing clear system documentation, user guidance or training, with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical audiences.
  • A proactive approach to continuous improvement, with experience of identifying opportunities to improve processes, self-service, automation and user experience.
  • Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage competing priorities effectively.
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills, with the ability to work collaboratively across HR, Digital and external suppliers.
  • A sound understanding of GDPR, data governance and the secure handling of sensitive employee information.
Desirable Criteria
  • Experience using business intelligence, reporting or workforce analytics tools.
  • Experience administering or supporting more than one type of people system, such as recruitment, learning or performance management systems.
  • Experience working with system integrations, automated processes or interconnected platforms.
  • Experience contributing to HR systems implementation or user acceptance testing (UAT).
