Pay: Our Tesco colleague rate starts from £13.28 an hour; this increases to £14.55 for stores within the M25. Additional payments may apply depending on location.
We offer a minimum of 16 guaranteed hours each week. If you prefer fewer hours (minimum 12), we also have opportunities and would still love to hear from you.
The table (above) shows the periods of time in the week we would like you to be available to work. We will schedule your contracted hours within these times and you’ll receive 3 weeks' notice of your shifts. We support flexibility; if the times you are available closely match but do not exactly match the advertised times, we would still love to hear from you.

- Be knowledgeable about the store’s performance, understand the part you play and work together to drive service and sales, reduce waste, shrink and deliver profit.
- Handle products with care to maintain quality and ensure they reach customers in the best condition.
- Live our values, make everyone feel welcome and always follow our policies.
- Accept deliveries into the store when required.
- A passion for delivering great service, greeting customers with a smile.
- Ability to build rapport with customers, ensuring a great shopping trip.
- Take initiative and make decisions that are right for customers.
- Work well within a team and communicate openly.
- Build relationships with colleagues to create team spirit, having fun and celebrating success.
