About the Role

As a Supermarket Assistant, you will help customers enjoy a differentiated Partner-led service and passion for food. Your drive to go the extra mile helps build trust and loyalty with Waitrose customers.

Note:

Night Premium applies for any time worked between 22:00 and 06:00 at £3.75 per hour, including existing Partners enrolled onto Enhanced Hours Premium arrangements. Applicants must be 18 years or over to apply due to working time regulations.

• Stock replenishment — keep shelves full and products in the right place at the right time for customers.
• Fulfilling online customer orders ready for our drivers to deliver to customers’ doors.
• Reducing wastage by following product due diligence and applying markdowns for items approaching sell-by dates.
• Collaborating with the wider shop team to support checkout, Click & Collect orders, on-demand orders, and more.
• Maintain a safe and tidy working environment with general shopkeeping tasks.

• Communication skills to work effectively as part of a team and with customers.

• Experience in a customer-facing role.
• Up-to-date knowledge and strong interest in food and drink trends.
• Flexible approach to support the whole branch.

• Pay: £13.00 per hour (rises to £13.25 after 90 days).
• Contract Type: Permanent
• Hours of Work: Part-time, scheduled between 18:00 and 00:00 (Thursday–Saturday). 16.5 hours per week.
