Retail Sales Associate - 3166 at First Cash is an entry-level, full-time role in our pawn store locations nationwide. The Pawnbroker / Retail Sales Associate greets, engages with customers, and assists customers with purchases, loans, and other transactions. You will work with a wide variety of jewelry and general merchandise, including tools, electronics, firearms (in FFL locations), and more. The position offers a base hourly wage plus an opportunity to earn commission on transactions.

Pay: $11.00 to $14.00 per hour

UP TO 8% on transactions, which could average an additional $2.74 per hour on top of your hourly rate. Earned Wage Access is available to all employees on the second day of employment, with access to withdraw up to 50 percent of wages earned up to seven times per payroll cycle.

We are seeking entry-level, full-time sales associates in our pawn store locations nationwide. The Pawnbroker / Retail Sales Associate partners with the store team to ensure customer service on both lending and retail sides of the business. The role involves greeting customers, engaging with them, and assisting with customer inquiries and problem resolution. Associates work with a wide variety of merchandise, including jewelry, tools, electronics, firearms where permitted, and more.

The position offers an hourly wage plus commission based on productivity, with pay influenced by location and experience.

• Greets and interacts with all customers to develop a rapport and provide appropriate financial solutions.
• Performs non-management open/close procedures.
• Keeps the sales floor clean, stocked, and maintains merchandise displays.
• Processes sales and loan transactions in accordance with policies, procedures, practices, and regulatory requirements.
• Handles cash and negotiable items in accordance with policies.
• Answers incoming calls per company standards.
• Explains the legal aspects of pawn and buy transactions to customers.
• Communicates effectively with coworkers and managers, showing respect and using effective communication tools.
• Partners with employees to create a positive and memorable customer experience.
• Successfully completes required training.
• Other related duties as assigned.

• Must be willing and able to lift up to 50 pounds.
• Must be able to stand for extended periods and perform duties including bending, stooping, walking, climbing, pushing, and pulling, in accordance with applicable laws.
• Ability to work with firearms and to become firearms certified where applicable.
• Employees may be asked to assist a customer on the exterior of the building or retrieve products stored in exterior storage.
• Minimum Age: 18 years old.
• High School Diploma, GED or equivalent experience.
• Strong desire to work, serve customers, work with people, and be team-oriented.
• Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to perform basic math calculations proficiently; cash handling experience is preferred.
• Should be able to work in multiple locations as needed.
• Must have the ability to work a flexible retail schedule including weekends and holidays.
• Computer literate and able to operate POS systems and common office machines.

The employee commission incentive plan is proprietary to First Cash. Pawnbrokers have the potential to earn 2-8% commission based on the gross profit of their personal performance. Details are provided during the interview process. Pay rates will not be below applicable local minimum wage requirements.
