Certerra has an immediate opening for a full‑time (Mid‑Senior) level Construction Materials Testing (CMT) Inspector in Buda, Texas. The position is best suited for someone interested in working in a fast‑paced consultant environment, does not mind some travel, and capable of effectively working as part of a collaborative team.

• Field and laboratory testing of construction materials.
• Maintaining required certifications.
• Coordinating with clients and Certerra/Insight Group engineering and professional state.
• Travel to client facilities as needed.
• Report writing and computer skills.
• Provides clear documentation of findings and results.
• Performs basic analysis of data to verify accuracy before communication and submittal to the Project Manager.
• Communicates information to Project Manager and other personnel as directed by the PM.
• Assists higher level technicians on complex tasks.
• Maintains assigned equipment and related calibration.
• Follows safety rules and practices and other safety requirements for all projects.
• Be responsible for maintaining quality standards on all projects.

• A strong safety focus and attention to detail.
• Excellent plan reading skills.
• A demonstrated math and technical aptitude.
• Flexibility to work extended or non‑traditional hours as needed.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• State DOT certifications, and/or NICET certifications.
• ICC Concrete and Soils Certifications preferred or must be willing to get within 1 year.
• 2-5+ years of construction materials testing experience.
• A high school diploma or equivalent.
• A valid driver’s license.

• Ability to perform physical tasks such as lifting, standing, and walking as needed during safety inspections and training sessions.
• The ability to lift 50-75 pounds.
• Comfortable working outdoors in varying weather conditions.
