Job SummaryCerterra has an immediate opening for a full‑time (Mid‑Senior) level Construction Materials Testing (CMT) Inspector in Buda, Texas. The position is best suited for someone interested in working in a fast‑paced consultant environment, does not mind some travel, and capable of effectively working as part of a collaborative team.

- Field and laboratory testing of construction materials.
- Maintaining required certifications.
- Coordinating with clients and Certerra/Insight Group engineering and professional state.
- Travel to client facilities as needed.
- Report writing and computer skills.
- Provides clear documentation of findings and results.
- Performs basic analysis of data to verify accuracy before communication and submittal to the Project Manager.
- Communicates information to Project Manager and other personnel as directed by the PM.
- Assists higher level technicians on complex tasks.
- Maintains assigned equipment and related calibration.
- Follows safety rules and practices and other safety requirements for all projects.
- Be responsible for maintaining quality standards on all projects.
- A strong safety focus and attention to detail.
- Excellent plan reading skills.
- A demonstrated math and technical aptitude.
- Flexibility to work extended or non‑traditional hours as needed.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- State DOT certifications, and/or NICET certifications.
- ICC Concrete and Soils Certifications preferred or must be willing to get within 1 year.
- 2-5+ years of construction materials testing experience.
- A high school diploma or equivalent.
- A valid driver’s license.
- Ability to perform physical tasks such as lifting, standing, and walking as needed during safety inspections and training sessions.
- The ability to lift 50-75 pounds.
- Comfortable working outdoors in varying weather conditions.
