Job Responsibilities- Handle daily HR functions including payroll, benefits administration, generalist HR duties; serve as the subject matter expert in Total Rewards and Recognition.
- Lead payroll processing, audits, and reporting.
- Maintain HRIS/HCM system, ensuring data integrity, accurate workflows, and regular audits.
- Process end‑to‑end payroll for 500+ employees, ensuring strict compliance with wage and hour laws.
- Support Dayforce backend configurations, system enhancements, workflow updates, and reporting setup to optimize payroll and HR operations.
- Monitor employee time & attendance, review timesheets, identify discrepancies, and reconcile issues.
- Review digital attestations, ensure follow‑up of non‑compliances, and maintain strict documentation.
- Prepare analytical payroll reports, including payroll records/deductions, general ledger reconciliations, monthly accruals, labor/hours/headcount; compile data for internal/external reporting, including temporary staff.
- Responsible for UI, garnishment, employment verifications, and annual pay data reports.
- Administer employee benefits programs including health, dental, vision, 401(k), FSA, disability insurance; manage 401(k) enrollment, contribution processing, loans, etc.
- Manage new hire onboarding and termination processes, including final pay, exit forms, COBRA administration, and exit interviews.
- Serve as HR Generalist with broad HR expertise and Total Rewards & Recognition subject matter expertise, supporting leave administration, driving process improvements, and providing policy guidance.
- Support day‑to‑day HR duties as requested by manager.
- Bachelor's in Human Resources, Business Administration, Accounting, or equivalent work experience.
- 6‑8 years of HR/Accounting experience, including at least 4 years in mid‑sized payroll operations in a specialist/analyst capacity.
- Strong knowledge of California Wage & Hour and meals and rest breaks compliance.
- Ability to foster a culture that reflects Pulmuone's core values, leading by example with a positive attitude.
- Advanced proficiency with HRIS and payroll systems. Dayforce/Ceridian experience and backend configuration skills highly preferred.
- Ability to run HRIS reports, strong technical aptitude with HR, payroll, and timekeeping platforms.
- Intermediate to advanced skills in Excel, including pivot tables and VLOOKUP; strong analytical and reporting capabilities.
- Good knowledge of payroll procedures and administration; well versed with standard payroll concepts, practices, and procedures.
- Proficiency in Microsoft programs, including Outlook, Word, Excel.
- Highly detail‑oriented and organized, able to prioritize tasks.
- Demonstrated discretion and ability to maintain strict confidentiality.
- Strong problem‑solving and communication skills.
- Strong sense of ownership; ability to make independent decisions and follow through on responsibilities.
