About the Role:
We are a growing boutique estate planning law firm seeking an Associate Attorney to join our estate planning and trusts practice. This role offers hands-on experience with both basic and advanced planning matters, direct client interaction, and mentorship from senior attorneys.
Responsibilities:
- Draft and review estate planning documents, including revocable and irrevocable trusts, wills, powers of attorney, and advance health care directives
- Assist with trust funding, asset transfers, and beneficiary designations
- Support business succession planning for LLCs, partnerships, and closely held businesses
- Prepare trust amendments and restatements
- Collaborate with CPAs, financial advisors, and other professionals to ensure integrated planning
- Conduct legal research related to California estate planning, trust, and tax matters
- Participate in client meetings and clearly explain estate planning concepts
- Maintain organized client files and comply with ethical and firm standards
Qualifications:
- Active and in good standing with the California State Bar
- 0–5 years of experience in estate planning, trusts, or probate
- Strong drafting and analytical skills
- Excellent communication and client-facing skills
- Ability to manage multiple matters efficiently
Legal Assistant – Living Trust Department

Responsibilities:
- Drafting, editing, and previewing legal documents
- Handling incoming phone calls and email correspondence
- Prepare files for attorney meetings, including gathering and organizing all relevant case documents to ensure attorneys have complete and accurate materials
- Assemble documents into binders
- Acting as a liaison between clients and attorneys
- Providing general administrative support to attorneys as needed
Qualifications:
- Strong writing and proofreading skills with high attention to detail
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and general PC literacy
- Professional demeanor and courteous communication skills
- Ability to multitask and remain organized in a highly fast-paced environment
- Legal experience is not required, but a background or interest in law is preferred
Legal Assistant – Probate Department
