As a CMM DIP Inspector, you'll verify that critical parts meet exact customer specifications before they ship, which is work where accuracy matters. This permanent, direct-hire role offers a structured path toward independent CMM setup, program interpretation, and advanced dimensional inspection in a quality-driven environment

- Run approved CMM programs under guidance, confirming the correct program, revision, part orientation, and fixturing before each inspection.
- Perform in-process, first-piece, and final DIP inspections using calipers, micrometers, height gages, bore gages, and other calibrated equipment.
- Compare CMM output against drawings and basic GD&T callouts, escalating questionable or out-of-tolerance results to Quality and Production.
- Document inspection results with full traceability, and identify and control nonconforming or suspect material per established procedures.
- Support first article inspection data collection and ballooned drawing review while building skills in datum structures, probe qualification, and program troubleshooting.
Required
- 1+ years of dimensional inspection, quality, machining, manufacturing, or related technical experience; relevant technical education may substitute for some experience.
- Hands-on experience with calipers and micrometers, plus the ability to read basic engineering drawings, dimensions, tolerances, part numbers, and revisions.
- Ability to stand for extended periods, lift up to 30 lbs, and qualify for access to export-controlled information under applicable U.S. export control laws.
Preferred
- Technical certificate or coursework in metrology, machining, manufacturing, quality, or engineering technology
- Exposure to CMM operation using PC-DMIS, Calypso, or comparable metrology software
- Familiarity with GD&T, first article inspection, surface plate inspection, CNC machined parts, castings, or aerospace quality requirements
- Permanent, direct-hire position paying $35 - $40/hour
- Early 1st shift schedule
