Overview
Our client is seeking a detail-oriented Paraplanner to support their Lead Advisor with financial planning preparation, investment analysis, and client onboarding. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys the technical and analytical side of financial planning and prefers a behind-the-scenes position rather than full client-facing responsibilities.
Work Schedule: Monday–Thursday, 9AM–5PM | Friday, 9AM–2:30PM
Responsibilities- Run basic annuity illustrations using online quote tools.
- Build retirement income plans and evaluate income strategies.
- Create investment portfolio summaries and asset allocation analyses.
- Prepare financial plan components under the guidance of the Lead Advisor.
- Support advisors with follow-up tasks after client meetings.
- Prepare various financial planning reports and one-off analyses.
- Assist with onboarding new clients and ensuring a smooth transition.
- Communicate with clients occasionally for minor updates or data needs.
- Input and analyze client data in financial and tax planning software.
- Maintain accuracy and data integrity across all planning documents.
- Manage workflow tasks tied to client meetings and planning cycles.
- Utilize advanced Excel skills to support the firms proprietary planning system.
- CFP or CPA is a plus but not required.
- Series 65 or 66 is a plus but not required.
- Must be comfortable working onsite full-time.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
- Highly detail-oriented with strong accuracy and organizational skills.
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Business, or related field.
- Strong interest in financial planning, retirement planning, and investments.
- 1–3 years of experience in financial services, preferably in financial planning or paraplanning.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel (lookups, pivot tables, formulas, modeling)
