Overview
The Quality Operations Manager leads site-level quality assurance and quality control programs to ensure consistent product quality, regulatory compliance, and customer satisfaction. This role drives operational quality excellence, supports continuous improvement initiatives, and builds strong cross-functional partnerships across manufacturing, engineering, and supply chain. The manager also develops and mentors quality engineers, strengthens the site’s quality culture, and ensures robust execution of quality systems and standards.
Responsibilities- Lead Quality Strategy & Execution
- Drive site quality performance to meet or exceed internal standards, customer requirements, and regulatory expectations.
- Partner cross-functionally to embed quality into manufacturing and operational processes.
- CAPA & Customer Quality Management
- Oversee effective investigation, root cause analysis, and closure of CAPAs.
- Guide engineers in responding to customer feedback, complaints, and audit findings.
- Monitor and improve quality metrics aligned to the site quality plan.
- Operational & Process Improvement
- Lead product and process quality improvement initiatives using structured problem-solving and audit tools.
- Identify opportunities to reduce cost of poor quality and improve manufacturing performance.
- Technical & Quality Systems Leadership
- Support development of the site’s quality roadmap in alignment with corporate and regional quality strategies.
- Ensure quality systems and procedures are effective, scalable, and compliant.
- Lead, coach, and develop quality engineers and staff.
- Drive a culture of accountability, continuous learning, and operational excellence.
- Support succession planning and talent development.

- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Quality, or related technical field required
- 5+ years of experience in quality within a manufacturing environment
- (3+ years with a Master’s degree)
- Prior supervisory or team leadership experience preferred
- Experience with quality tools such as CAPA, audits, root cause analysis, and continuous improvement methodologies
- Strong cross-functional communication and leadership skills
- A combination of education and experience will be considered.
