Fabricator, Trades ​/ Skilled Labor

Join our dynamic team as a Fabricator/Builder in the tradeshow industry. We specialize in creating fixtures and tradeshow pop-ups, starting with metal fabrication and moving on to screen-printing onto canvas for our clients. This role offers flexible hours following training, with opportunities for overtime, including Saturdays when busy.

• Review shop drawings prior to starting each job, and clarify any questions with the department that provided the information.
• Report ongoing drawing and template issues to the Fabrication Manager.
• Ensure execution of project details and quality in accordance with brand identity.
• Complete projects on milestone and re-work within agreed upon deadlines.
• Review Fabrication queue daily and report project statuses to the Fabrication Manager before production meetings.
• Take initiative to find solutions and utilize available resources to solve problems, coordinating with other departments to get the job done on time.
• Perform machine maintenance and promptly report any machine issues to the Fabrication Manager.
• Other duties as assigned.

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in either metal fabrication or carpentry.
• Proficiency in fabrication, interpreting drawings, and using power and hand tools.
• Blueprint reading and welding skills.
• Experience with sewing.

• Experience in TIG welding, CNC, 3-dimensional letters/logo fabrication, and lighting is a plus.
• Desirable experience in exhibit house or tradeshow industry.
• Reliability, hard work, and good attention to detail are essential.
• Willingness to work extended and weekend shifts, including rotating on-call during busy periods.

Work in a very clean and well-lit facility. Flexible first shift hours are available after training, with shifts ranging from 6am to 5:30pm. Dress appropriately for a hands-on fabrication environment.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Buffalo Grove, IL.

The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $32.00/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
