Base pay: $17.95/hr - $19.92/hr your actual pay will be based on your skills and experience — talk with your recruiter to learn more.

• Provide on‑site supervision of registered consumers during designated hours.
• Work in partnership with other district staff, including Community Education Coordinators and community members to help make sponsored activities fun, socially appropriate, user‑friendly and safe for citizens of all ages.
• Lead, demonstrate, supervise and direct Opening Doors consumer recreation and leisure activities.
• Implement, enforce and recommend improvements to district policies and procedures regarding Opening Doors classes and activities.

• Experience working directly with adults with disabilities in recreation or social setting is desirable but not required.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Ability to travel from one area to another using personal vehicle.
• Ability to pass background check.
• A passion for working with others is of primary importance.
• Ability to establish and maintain working relations with supervisors and fellow workers.
• Performs other duties as assigned by the Community Education office.
