Position:
Substitute ECFE Classroom Assistant (Community Education – Early Childhood Family Education program)

Location:

District-wide; all ECFE sites

Rate of Pay: $17.50/hr (paid twice per month). This position is not benefit‑eligible.

Begin:
As agreed upon. Position is on‑call basis after orientation and background check.

Responsibilities:

• Assist preschool teacher by providing educational support.
• Assess, supervise, and guide positive behavior.
• Build positive relationships with children and parents.
• Interact with children to enhance and extend learning.
• Assist teacher in preparation of classroom, including physical movement of equipment.
• Support Special Education plans for children in class.
• Follow school district policies and procedures.

Desired

Qualifications:

• Experience working with young children in a preschool setting.
• Knowledge of positive behavior guidance and child development.
• Ability to work as part of a team and take direction from teachers.
• Ability to multi‑task and provide active, nurturing care.
