Job Overview

Growing four doctor equine practice seeking a full time equine associate to join our team. Practice is within 45 minutes of the Minneapolis, Saint Paul metro area. We are a highly‑motivated, team‑orientated practice. Our progressive practice includes both in‑house and ambulatory care. We have provided services in the west metro of Minneapolis for over 55 years, and have a reputation for excellent customer service and patient care.

We maintain excellent working relationships with surrounding private practices and the University of Minnesota Veterinary Hospital. Our facility was built in 2012 and includes 5 stalls, exam area, surgery room, laboratory, and indoor arena. We offer services in preventative care, lameness/sports medicine, internal medicine, reproduction, and dentistry. Equipment includes digital radiography, ultrasound, endoscope and gastroscope, shockwave, and terafloats. An in‑house lab is available for CBC/Chemistry, cultures, Coggins, IgG, and sports medicine therapies.

A surgery/recovery room is available to perform minor surgeries under injectable anesthesia. Our surgery suite was constructed to allow for the expansion of services to include gas anesthesia and major surgery if that option is desired in the future. We see everything from pleasure horses to high‑end performance and show horses in a wide variety of breeds.

Veterinarians enjoy a four day work week and veterinary technician/assistant support. On‑call is shared equally on a rotating basis. If you have a light afternoon or a late morning, start according to your daily schedule; we do not expect you here waiting. We know what daily practice takes from someone physically and emotionally. Signing/moving bonus provided. Start at 10 days paid vacation, 5 paid personal/sick days, and 5 CE days.

Percentage of emergency fee paid. Option for salary based compensation or production based compensation. Option for participation in group health care plan. Paid PLIT, License, AAEP dues, and CE stipend. A business owned vehicle can be provided, or if you prefer to use your own vehicle, mileage is paid.
