Our client, a well-established organization, is seeking a Controller, Tax and Accounting to join their team in Buffalo, New York. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced finance professional to contribute to the company’s success and growth.

• Supervise the Accounting Manager, providing guidance on bookkeeping transactions and payment processing.
• Assist the President, Vice President, and Treasurer with financial matters as needed.
• Prepare and analyze quarterly and annual financial reports.
• Handle bank deposits and wire transfers efficiently.
• Assist the Treasurer with annual audits and payment allocations.
• Coordinate tax filings and respond to tax notices in collaboration with a CPA firm.

Education: Bachelor’s degree in Finance or Accounting.

Certification: CPA preferred.

Experience: 8+ years of experience in public accounting, with expertise in both tax and accounting.

Industry

Experience:

Knowledge of real estate and trusts is a plus.

Technical

Skills:

Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Excel, Word) and familiarity with Quick Books.

Soft Skills: Strong ability to work independently on confidential tasks.

Leadership: Capable of supervising an Accounting Manager handling bookkeeping tasks.
