Accounting Clerk needed for a company in Cheektowaga, NY!

Pay: up to $30/hour

Hours:

8am-5pm/M-F

Job Overview:

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Accounting Clerk. This role offers an opportunity to work on multi-state accounting functions, including financial statement preparation, regulatory reporting, and financial analysis. The ideal candidate will possess strong technical accounting and analytical abilities. Experience with MS Office Suite and strong Excel skills. This position plays a critical role in ensuring compliance with GAAP and other regulatory standards within our industry.

The Accounting Clerk will perform the following:

• Manage general ledger
• Process customer payments, credit card, and checks
• Reconcile credit card statements
• Process expense reimbursements
• Eventually learn how to assist with billing (A/R)
• Perform internal inventory analysis and adjustments

Qualifications of the Accounting Clerk:

• Bachelor's degree in accounting or related field
• Experienced in Quick Books and Microsoft Excel
• Experienced in AP research, match and resolve discrepancies
• Able to communicate with vendors and resolve issues
• Reconcile vendor statement
• Maintain simple schedules, i.e. payment due dates
• Must have basic experience in payroll, more is a bonus
• Bank or cash rec skills a plus
• Understanding inventory/purchase orders is a bonus
• Notary is a bonus
• Able to multi-task in a fast-paced environment
