- As the Program Controls Analyst, be responsible for both the financial and schedule performance of the program.
- Finance responsibilities include sales forecasting, cash flow management, and performance to plan analytics.
- Scheduling responsibilities include developing integrated master plans and schedules in support of the Earned Value Management System (EVMS).
- Serve as a subject-matter expert for scheduling and current scheduling software (MS Project Online).
- Contribute to continuous improvements in the Integrated Cost & Schedule Group EVMS system as part of the Program Controls team.
- Blend cost management and schedule performance to provide insight into current performance and assist forecasting future outcomes.
- Familiarize with the roles and responsibilities of all program participants and orchestrate data provision for EVMS as needed.
- Develop and maintain integrated master/sub-project schedules with proper schedule logic (horizontal and vertical).
- Consolidate cost and schedule data to analyze program performance and identify significant variances that trigger reporting thresholds.
- Develop ad hoc reporting and analysis to identify financial trends within the monthly reporting cycle and improve program execution.
- Coordinate work activities with project team members, progress schedules, and help resolve schedule conflicts.
- Conduct detailed analysis of major program events and key milestones.
- Work with the Program Manager to analyze and interpret performance data for monthly reporting and presentations to senior management.
- Collaborate with the finance organization to ensure cost management policies are maintained.
- Interpret status for potential cost and/or schedule impacts and communicate implications to control account/program manager and Integrated Product Team Leads.
- Manage risks and opportunities throughout the project lifecycle: identify risks, assess impacts, and track mitigations.
- At least 3 years of relevant experience within planning, scheduling, and cost management.
- Demonstrable knowledge of engineering, accounting or a related field typically through a degree or equivalent experience.
- Experience using MS Project (or equivalent) and familiarity with earned value measurement (EVM) techniques in cost and schedule performance management from initial schedule development through program completion.
- Proficient in MS Office applications including Excel and PowerPoint.
- Strong numerical and analytical skills demonstrated through experience.
- Outstanding communication skills and ability to collaborate with different functional teams.
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously and adapt to shifting priorities to meet business needs.
- Demonstrated ability to meet deadlines and commitments.
