Construction Special Inspector
Qualifications:
- Desire any of the following certifications with related experience: ACI, ICC, PCI, CWI, NETTCP, NYSDOT DTI, NYSDOT PCC, NYSDOT QC/QA and NICET
- Able to lift, carry, push, and pull equipment weighing up to 50 pounds
- Basic math and good communication skills
- Possession of a valid New York State driver’s license
- Positive attitude, with ability to work independently and in a team environment
- Enjoying working outdoors in a hands-on environment
Construction Special Inspector Responsibilities:
- Provide Special Inspection services in accordance with the Building Code of NYS
- Perform quality sampling, testing and inspection of soil, concrete, masonry, and asphalt materials on construction sites and in laboratory settings
- Follow safety standards and procedures
- Prepare accurate test and inspection reports using electronic report templates
- Effectively communicate with clients and other project stakeholders
