WORK OBJECTIVE:
The Graphic Design Specialist will create graphic materials used for a variety of educational, informational, and promotional purposes which include, but is not limited to schedules, Authority wide way finding, various rider and traveler alerts, advertisements, and social media posts. The Graphic Design Specialist will work closely with the Senior Design Specialist. This position reports to the Manager, Creative Services and work is performed under the daily direction of the Senior Design Specialist.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:The list of essential functions, as outlined herein, is intended to be representative of the tasks performed within this classification. - Designs and produces graphics for a wide range of material for various business units.
- Update and support revision designs for NFTA-Metro schedules.
- Supports content generation for external and internal communications, including the website.
- Design graphics for social media ads and updates.
- Performs other duties and tasks as assigned.
Knowledge of graphics and digital design; skilled in preparing graphics and other material; ability to work on multiple projects in a demanding environment.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:Tasks involve the ability to exert light physical effort in sedentary to light work, but which may involve some lifting, carrying, pushing and/or pulling of objects and materials of light weight (5-10 pounds).
ENVIRONMENTAL REQUIREMENTS:Work is performed in usual office conditions with rare exposure to disagreeable environmental factors.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:College graduate and a minimum of two years full‑time experience in commercial art involving the design and layout of graphic art materials, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Graphic design skills utilizing Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop, and InDesign, etc.).
