WENY News, the ABC and CBS affiliate in the Twin Tiers region New York and Pennsylvania, is seeking a News Producer to join our award-winning news team. If you want to work in a dynamic newsroom and are passionate about delivering compelling local news, we want to hear from you!

As a News Producer, you’ll play a key role in shaping our newscasts daily. You’ll collaborate closely with news managers, anchors, multi-media journalists and news bureaus to produce engaging, timely, and accurate content. From breaking news and live coverage to weather updates and community-driven stories, you’ll ensure our viewers receive the most relevant and impactful news.

You’ll also coordinate live coverage, handle urgent news updates, and contribute to digital platforms including our website, app, and social media. Whether it’s guiding a newscast from start to finish or assisting with last-minute changes, your editorial judgment and quick thinking will be essential.

• Produce dynamic, local newscasts that reflect the heartbeat of the community
• Collaborate with news managers, anchors and reporters to deliver news that matters
• Manage live coverage and breaking news events with urgency and precision
• Distribute content across digital platforms
• Maintain a keen focus on local stories that drive viewer engagement
• Adapt to last-minute changes and high-pressure situations with a calm and clear approach

• Prior producing experience is a bonus, but we’re willing to train the right person
• Strong news judgment and exceptional writing skills
• Excellent communication and organizational skills
• Ability to handle pressure and stay flexible in fast-moving environments
• ENPS knowledge is a plus, but not required
• A valid driver’s license is required

Salary range: $35,000 - $38,000
