As Chief Meteorologist , you’ll oversee weather coverage at your station, leading a team of experienced meteorologists to keep audiences up to date on the latest weather news. You'll also be the face of your station’s weather operation, delivering forecasts, telling stories, and connecting with audiences on air. As part of a collaborative team that creates compelling, timely, and accurate newscasts, your work will keep audiences informed across traditional and digital platforms.

WHAT

YOU’LL BRING TO SPECTRUM NEWS

Required Qualifications
  • Experience :
    Forecasting and presenting weather casts, including severe weather coverage - 7+ years, working knowledge of TV weather graphics systems
  • Education :
    Bachelor's degree in Meteorology, AMS Certified Broadcast Meteorologist (CBM) seal or ability to obtain within 18 months of employment
  • Technical Skills :
    Synoptic, tropical, and radar meteorology expertise
  • Skills :
    On-camera skills
