SALARY: $38,000.00

• Supervises and instructs dental residents inмеж proper dentistry techniques and procedures.
• Treats patients referred from other institutions such as Erie County Holding Center, West Seneca Developmental Center, and non‑profit agencies such as Catholic Charities and other church groups.
• Provides a full range of dental services including oral surgery, prosthetic dentistry, emergency room care, care of trauma patients and traditional dentistry procedures.
• Assists in developing appropriate patient treatmentლი plans consistent with established protocols of the hospital.
• Monitors progress of patient and makes appropriate modifications to treatment plan.
• Supervises and instructs all phases of prosthetic dental laboratory; orders supplies and equipment for dentistry division and laboratory.
• Prepares reports as requested.
• Counsels patients on proper dental care and specialized dental needs.

• Thorough knowledge of modern principals and procedures of dentistry and specialized dental procedures.
• Ability to supervise and instruct dental residents.
• Ability to provide professional dentistry services to disadvantaged and medically compromised patients.
• Ability to establish and maintain cooperative relationships with patients and staff.
• Ability to instruct others in dental hygiene.
• Conscientiousness.
• Good professional judgment.
• Capable of performing the essential functions of the position with or without reasonable accommodations.

• Graduation from an approved-update dental school and license to practice dentistry in New York State.

• Possession of a license and current registration as a Dentist in New York State at time of appointment and maintenance throughout the duration of appointment.

• Possession of Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification within sixty (60) days of initial appointment and maintenance throughout the duration of appointment.
• Verifiable part‑time and/or volunteer experience will be pro‑rated toward meeting full‑time requirements.
