General Function

The Associate Optometrist is a leader in delivering the brand promise, the experience, and key results through collaboration and teamwork. The Associate Optometrist ensures all patients receive the highest quality optometric care, maximizes practice growth, and serves as a leading ambassador of the brand.

Major

Duties & Responsibilities
  • Ensure executional excellence and winning results in partnership with the store management and store team.
  • Demonstrate commitment to exceed results through strong KPI management and high accountability.
  • Ensure brand recognition as the leading optical provider in the community.
  • Operate as a stakeholder to all leaders within the organization and local market.
  • Place the patient/customer first and deliver excellent service.
  • Strive to exceed expectations on all KPIs.
  • Deliver unrivaled patient service by completing the service process steps:
  • Address all patients’ visual life‑style needs.
  • Make eyewear recommendations based on their needs.
  • Explain each step of the eye exam; listen carefully to patients.
  • Utilize available tools and visual aids to summarize and ensure understanding.
  • Communicate the need for annual eye exams and schedule the next exam in the system.
  • Conduct services in accordance with protocol and standards of care.
  • Ensure accurate diagnosis and appropriate recommendations.
  • Establish a positive doctor/patient relationship.
  • Utilize technology to deliver unparalleled patient/customer experiences.
  • Maintain office systems and ensure compliance.
  • Maintain state licensure in good standing and fulfill continuing education requirements.
  • Provide effective training and guidance to team members.
  • Deliver clear, motivating, and constructive feedback in a timely manner.
  • Create a positive culture linked to corporate culture and empower associate decision‑making.
  • Maximize partnerships through leadership, participation, and involvement.
  • Maintain office appearance and a safe working environment.
  • Lead by example.
Basic Qualifications
  • Doctor of Optometry.
  • Commitment to quality patient care.
  • Knowledge of current optometric theory and technology.
  • Strong communication and listening skills.
  • Problem‑solving ability.
  • Solid organizational skills.

Pay Range: $53.82 - $73.40 per hour

Employee pay is determined by multiple factors, including geography, experience, qualifications, skills, and local minimum wage requirements. Bonuses and commissions may be offered.
