The Superintendent of Schools, Dr. Pascal Mubenga, is interested in receiving applications from qualified candidates for the position of:

QUALIFICATIONS- New York State certified school psychologist with bilingual extension or certification.
- Must attach a PDF or a screenshot of their certifications.
- Extensive knowledge of the Buffalo Public Schools Academic Achievement Plan, the Committee on Special Education, federal and state regulations pertaining to Special Education, and the educational benefit review process.
- Proficiency in measuring student response to intervention (RTI) and successful parent relations in a school or district setting.
- Serve as a mandated member of the Committee on Special Education.
- Conduct mandated bilingual/monolingual psychological/educational evaluations per State and Federal regulations.
- Prepare written reports and assist in the development of Individual Education Plans for students with disabilities, including computer input into IEP software.
- Work with general and special education students in classrooms and individually to provide academic and behavioral RTI.
- Develop appropriate Functional Behavioral Assessments (FBA) and Behavioral Intervention Plans (BIP) with teachers and staff and implement district academic and behavioral initiatives.
- Perform any assigned duties deemed necessary and appropriate.

APPOINTMENTAppointment will be made by the Board of Education upon the recommendation of the Superintendent following assessment of training, experience, certifications, credentials and evaluation of service. Personal interviews shall be scheduled where appropriate.
