We are seeking a Truss Designer to join our team.

The Truss Designer will prepare take-offs for the Residential Estimating & Purchasing department. The position requires interaction with customers, field staff and Project Coordinators. The Estimator reports directly to the Sr. Estimator.

• Prepare framing estimates for Residential projects.
• Review plans and adjust take-offs for scope of work changes.
• Maintain database of construction estimates.
• Analyze material variances.
• Communicate with field personnel.
• Analyze estimating processes.
• Work closely with team to ensure all deadlines are met.

• Strong mathematical skills.
• Extensive knowledge of blueprints.
• Excellent verbal and written communication.
• Organized and detail oriented.
• Proficient with Microsoft Excel.
• Willingness to learn new software.
• Two years of estimating experience required.
• Understanding of wood construction.
• Experience with Planswift, Blue Beam, or related software.

• Extended periods of time working on a computer.
• Lift up to 15 pounds.
